Understanding IRB

The purpose of completing Institutional Research Board (IRB) training is to learn how to safely and ethically collect data on human subject.  You are expected complete the IRB module in Canvas on your own. All required info needed for the quiz at the end is provided in the module. As long as you go in order, you will have all the answers by the time you take the quiz. As the Course/Syllabus Quiz states, you are required to obtain 100% on the quiz in order to complete this module. Please complete this as soon as possible, but you MUST obtain the 100% on the IRB quiz no later than the day of Plan Presentations, before lab starts. Once you have completed your Plan Presentations, you are allowed to begin data collection, so it must be done prior to this day so you don’t hold up your group. You will receive a deduction of points in the class if you do not have this completed by the due date.
